Sample Lessons and Student Stories
These FREE sample lessons for Primary, Intermediate and Middle School grade levels are an opportunity for teachers to test our program in their classrooms before ordering our complete set of lesson plans and teacher support materials.
You will also find information on our new student-written book, "Our Students' Hidden Heroes". This is a collection of stories each followed by critical thinking questions.
Finally you will find links to videos featuring teachers and students working on the Our Hidden Heroes Program in their classrooms, and important information for Ontario teachers.

This lesson will introduce the character traits and behaviours expected in socially responsible students. Students will focus on making contributions in the classroom and respectfully dealing with conflicts and differences. This engaging activity will have students learning about the Hidden Heroes concepts through the use of the captivating theme of dogs.

Some of the topics that the Students will study include:
* Identifying Hidden Hero characteristics
* Activating the Hidden Hero that lies within each one of them
* Learning that small things done consistantly can make a big difference
* Understanding the difference between a "Hidden Hero" vs. a "super hero"
* strengthening their critical thinking and writing skills.

* Contributing to their classroom, school and community
* Problem solving in peaceful ways
* Excercising their democratic rights and responsibilities while valuing diversity and
defending human rights.
