Learn more about the Our Hidden Heroes program
You can inspire your students to make a difference in their families, school, community and beyond by delivering this 6 to 8 week unit on social responsibility/character education!

We consistently hear that the Our Hidden Heroes program produces fewer classroom management problems.  Teachers have also told us that they have found the Our Hidden Heroes program to be a proactive program against bullying, though the word is purposely never used in our materials.

Lessons are designed to be teacher friendly (just read and deliver 20 minutes later) and include all the handouts and learning resources you need. Most lessons include written stories and videos featuring real-life Hidden Heroes that exemplify the lesson being taught.  These learning resources motivate students to identify the characteristics, values and strengths of Hidden Heroes they find in their families, communities and schools, and then to find similar values, characteristics and strengths in themselves that, when put into action, make them Hidden Heroes as well. Our Lessons are highly recommended by Shirley Bond (BC Minister of Education) and Mike Munro (Superintendent of Schools District 68).

Each lesson meets a variety of cross-curricular learning outcomes for British Columbia including social responsibility, language arts, social studies and personal planning. Units of study are available for grades 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8.   For more information, email bill@ourhiddenheroes.org.

ONTARIO TEACHERS should note that direct lesson-by-lesson links have been established to the Ontario curriculum and also to the Toronto District School Board's Character Development Initiative.
