Neighbourhood Heroes is a not-for-profit society founded by former Toronto broadcaster, Bill Robinson.
The project was launched on October 1, 2000 with:
- One weekly newspaper columm in the Nanaimo Daily News and Harbour City Star.
- A WebQuest or mini course of study developed for Vancouver Island's School District #68 students in grades 6 to 10.
- Our web site has been developed and is hosted free of charge by Island Internet Inc.
